Are you tired of scifi/comic/gaming cons that ignore the Christian dimensions of the works you love so much? Doxacon  was created for people just like you. Everyone here at Doxacon is a geek. We're Geek Orthodox, and we want to bring you an event that will bring out the nerd in you, while also deepening your Christian faith. Find out more about DOXACON!

Can’t come to Doxacon Seattle? Want to support the idea even if you can’t be there? You can still share in the Doxacon experience! We'd really appreciate your help making this happen, so that it can happen next year and in the future. Want to have a Doxacon event in your area? Brilliant! Please support us so that we can successfully plan and execute Doxacon Seattle 2014 and create a planning document that will help YOU plan a Doxacon in your area. You can help make Doxacon an annual event in multiple cities.

Donation Tiers!

Your donation will help finance the initial cost of Doxacon Seattle and provide for future events. Funds are needed now to cover the prepayments required for catering, securing lodging for guest speakers, and other up-front costs. Registration fees are expected to cover event expenses, so remaining funds will go to support future Doxacon events. People in other parts of the country have already expressed interest in hosting Doxacon in their area.

Every person who donates to the fund in any amount will have their name on the supporters list on the program. You will be able to designate your donation as “anonymous” on the supporters list, but your contact information is necessary so you can receive your thank-you gift and tax receipt.

You can chose to receive a “thank-you gift” to demonstrate your support for what we are doing, and to show off to your friends.

You can receive a Doxacon Seattle Poster for a $10 donation. Put this up on your wall and show your support.

At the $25 level, in addition to the poster, you will receive a “Geek Orthodox” t-shirt from Doxacon Seattle. Share your nerdjoy. Start a conversation.

For a $50 donation, you will receive the poster and a specially designed t-shirt from the event. These t-shirts show a love for science fiction and fantasy and a commitment to Orthodox life. Wear it. Share the message.

At the $75 level, you can get the poster and both the “Geek Orthodox” and special t-shirts.

For $100 you will receive the poster, a “Geek Orthodox” t-shirt and a special DVD with video recordings of all presentations, plus exclusive interviews and also a live recording of the Pangalacticats' performance from Saturday night. Show the DVD to explain Doxacon and to encourage your parish to get involved in the future. Use it to show how science fiction and fantasy can help to “steal past those watchful dragons” of assumptions, and help you to have “eyes to see and ears to hear" a deeper faith.

For $125, you receive the poster, a special t-shirt, and the DVD.

For a $150 donation, you receive everything: the poster, the “Geek Orthodox t-shirt, the special t-shirt and the DVD.

For a $200 donation, you receive more than everything: the poster, the “Geek Orthodox" t-shirt, the special t-shirt, the DVD, plus a limited, special edition of the first Pangalacticats CD including the Doxacon Seattle Theme Song (available only on this Doxacon CD!).

All contributions are tax deductible donations to St. Katherine’s Orthodox Mission in an amount that exceeds the value of any “thank-you gift.” You will receive a receipt indicating the amount that is tax deductible. The gifts and receipt will be mailed after the event.
